IMG_0364We are always looking to expand our membership with men and women who share our commitment to community service. Our membership reflects the various business, cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds of our community. We are young and old, business and government workers, teachers, students, retired people, small business owners, and more! Our common bond is our desire to help make this community a better place to live.  If you value and seek the opportunity to volunteer in community services projects throughout our area, I bet you would love to be a part of our club-- and we’d love for you to enrich our membership!

Prospective members are considered by referral of current members. If you have lived in the Columbus area for any period of time, chances are excellent that you already know one or more of our members. Click on the Who We Are button (above) and look over our membership roster.

In the unlikely event that you don’t know anyone on the list, call us and we’ll invite you as our guest to one of our weekly luncheons, on us! This will give us a chance to meet you, and give you a first-hand opportunity to discover what the Exchange Club of Columbus is all about!

By-laws governing membership application are as follows:

“A current member in good standing may nominate someone for membership by completing the membership proposal form obtained from the club secretary. The Board acts on the proposal and once approved, the secretary reads it to the general membership. A 7-day waiting period in which any club member may comment in writing to the secretary must pass before the nominee can become qualified for membership. There being no objections, he/she then may join by completing the documentation furnished by the secretary and paying an application fee and the first period dues to the secretary.”

100_2086      “When and where do we meet?”           “How much are membership dues?”

Guess what? If you eat out for lunch about once a week or so, then Exchange Club membership is essentially free!

Why? Well, on most Thursdays, our club meets weekly for a delicious lunch prepared by a professional chef (Regular meetings are held at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Ministry Center, 301 11th. St. (map), which has a full-time certified professional chef). If you average out the annual cost of membership over a year’s period, it works out to be the typical cost of buying lunch about once a week. So if you normally buy lunch about once a week anyway, come eat with us and enjoy the privileges and opportunities of Exchange Club membership as well! (Plus, you can’t beat the great company, guest speakers, and special presentations!)
